- Electric power brake system
The power brakes are electrically powered utilizing a system from ABS Power Brakes. Because this system does not rely upon engine vacuum for power it is consistently powered-up. The pump for this system is protected by an inline fuse mounted on the left inner fender panel.
- Front brakes
The front brakes are 12″ Wilwood with drilled discs. The calipers are Wilwood “Superlite” 6 piston. These components were sourced from Art Morrison.
- Rear brakes
Rear brakes are 12.19 ” Wilwood with drilled discs. The calipers are single piston, as furnished in the Factory Five Cobra suspension kit and are hub-mounted outboard, for ease of maintenance.
- Emergency brakes
Emergency brakes are incorporated into the rear calipers, and are activated byLokar adjustable brake cablesystem adapted to the original Jensen emergency brake lever and ratchet system, which has been reconditioned.
- Proportioning valve
There is an adjustable brake proportioning valvemounted on the left inner fender panel, which controls front to rear brake balance. As with all adjustments on the car, the preliminary adjustment requires final tuning to suit, and can be readjusted to suit road or track conditions.
- Brake lines
All flexible brake lines are braided stainless steel. The fixed lines are hand-fabricated.
