 Water Pump

The water pump is a reverse rotation unit as furnished in the March Performance serpentine belt drive kit,  This pump might not be available at your generic AutoZone store, so if going on tour, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to purchase a spare from March and have it on hand.

Radiator

The radiator is aluminum, custom built to our specifications by Griffin Radiator and furnished complete with the air conditioning condenser and a thermostatically controlled electric fan.  Detailed specification for the radiator and accessories are included in the accompanying Engine and Components information packet.

The Griffin radiator and electric cooling fan

The radiator is retained by a bracket which can be released by removing three stainless bolts. There are rubber cushion pads installed above and below the radiator.

The engine cooling fan is activated by the FAST XFI 2.0 engine management system, which relies upon Chrysler sensors installed in the engine to report the engine temperature.  The fan start and stop temperatures can be adjusted through the XFI 2.0 software installed on the included laptop.

There is also a manual electric fan on/off switch located in the cockpit which allows override of the FAST XFI control of the fan. This switch is provided in case the FAST XFI fails to activate the fan, an unlikely condition but one which might occur on the racetrack or in a parade.

Overflow tank

The radiator overflow tank is a billet aluminum unit located inside the fender well on the driver’s side of the radiator.  The tank can be accessed by removing a sheet-metal panel forward of the left front wheel, but there should be no reason to do so, this tank will return fluids to the radiator in the unlikely even of a radiator overflow.

Transmission Cooler

The transmission cooler is a separate unit (not incorporated in the main radiator) mounted forward of the radiator. Flow of oil through this unit is thermostatically controlled by a stock Chrysler in-line thermostat.
