Front Suspension and steering
The entire original front suspension of the Jensen Interceptor has been replaced with an Art Morrison Engineering Sport IFS front clip. This complete suspension clip was aligned both with traditional bobweighted strings and modern laser pointers, then grafted onto the massive 4″ Jensen frame tubes.
Rack and Pinion Power Steering
The power steering rack and pinion as included with the Art Morrison Sport IFS front clip is a Detroit Speed Engineering rack and pinion unit.
Steering column and shafting
The steering column is a tilting unit from Ididit. Dimmer and ignition switches are column mounted. Linkage for the steering passes through a Borgeson universal joint. The steering shaft system is designed to be easily removable to ease engine replacement if necessary.
Steering Wheel
The steering wheel is a new leather-covered Moto Lita mated to the Ididit column with an Ididit adapter.
Front Sway Bar
The front sway bar is a component furnished with the Art Morrison Sport IFS front suspension. The sway bar has received basic initial adjustment. Since it is fully adjustable, final adjustment can be tuned to suit the owner’s handling preferences.
Front coilover shocks
The front suspension system employs Strange Engineering coilovers, as furnished with the Art Morrison Sport IFS front suspension kit, adjustable both for preload using the threaded adjuster (adjustment tool is included in the tool kit), and dampening using the knob on the suspension unit body.
Spindles
Front spindles are Wilwood ProSpindles as included in the Art MorrisonSport IFS front suspension clip.
Alignment
The front end of the Jensen Hemiceptor is aligned according to the Art Morrison Engineering specifications.
